My guess is it is a mix of going up to a 245 section, driving somewhat more aggressively to feel out the tire performance, and maybe gas (not sure if the SE really gets winter gas). Because the change is relatively small, this could be due to a combination of factors. My gas milage is averaging a little bit lower since I changed tires, 1 or 2 on average. The wheels you want to buy are 2 inches larger than his, but in reality. Most of the noise is a low growl on rough surfaces. The Michelin Pilot SXL MXX3 or BFGoodrich Comp T / A ZR, both excellent tires.
